On the 16th of April 2003 one female Grevy‚Äôs zebra was spotted on the western boundary of Lewa. She had awful cuts on both sides of her belly. On 4th April 2003, a male baby elephant was reported having been found roaming in Isiolo valley by Will Roberts. Immediately the head of security and patrol team were tasked to link the baby with other elephant herd within the vicinity. It took place in Nakuru National Park (NNP)and the aim was to catch 70 buffalo and translocate these animals to LWC and to Il Ngwesi.
