Films for Conservation Education

July 10, 2014

Renowned filmmaker Alan Root has raised funds from two great supporters of conservation - Paul Jones and David Koch - to have all his iconic wildlife films transferred to DVDs which will be given free to any organisation in East Africa involved in conservation or wildlife education.

Two sets of the first seven titles produced were recently presented to Lewa for use at the Conservation Education Centre. The films will also be shown at the Lewa Clinic's waiting bay and in any other suitable venues in the future.
More programmes, seven in English and nine in Kiswahili, are being transferred to DVD and will be donated to Lewa and many other organisations as soon as they are ready.

Alan and his son Myles recently visited the Conservation Education Centre (CEC) and presented two sets of the films to Ephantus Mugo, the CEC coordinator.

The Lewa Wildlife Conservancy is extremely grateful to Paul Jones, David Koch and Alan Root for this very generous donation. Thank you!
