The Rains Have Come!
After many months of sad, sobering news, we are finally able to say that the rains have come to Kenya. October 14th was the first day the long overdue rains finally poured on the drought-hit Lewa Wildlife Conservancy and other parts of northern Kenya. Since last Thursday, over 80 mm of rains have already fallen on the Conservancy. This is great news for the wildlife and people of northern Kenya which have been suffering a great deal with this prolonged drought.
