Lewa Safari Camp Under New Management

June 19, 2009

Lewa Safari Camp Sign Starting July 1, 2009, the Lewa Safari Camp, will be under new management. We are happy to announce a new partnership with one of Kenya’s most reputable tourism operators, Cheli & Peacock. As part of The Cheli & Peacock Portfolio, Cheli & Peacock will be running and managing the camp, as well as handling all reservations and marketing for the Camp.

As one of the world’s most important conservation areas, with magnificent views of Mt. Kenya, about 10 percent of Kenya’s black rhino population, and the single largest population of Grevy’s zebra in the world; the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy provides the ultimate Safari experience.

Lewa re-invests all the profits generated from tourism into its core programmes. When you visit Lewa, you will help thousands of people from different backgrounds and cultures to improve their lives, and give their children a future, at the same time as ensuring Africa’s wildlife has a stable home. Through Lewa’s community programmes, these local people are able to access clean drinking water, affordable health care services and an education for their children. In this way a visit to Lewa is not only a memorable holiday, but a once in a lifetime opportunity to make a difference.

The Lewa Safari Camp is ideally situated against a dramatic backdrop of the snow-covered Mt. Kenya, with the magnificent Northern Frontier District stretching out to the north. It offers spectacular scenery, superb game viewing and exciting activities for the discerning traveler

Elephants For over 24 years, Stefano Cheli & Liz Peacock have created authentic safari experiences that reach above and beyond client expectations. Cheli and Peacock is very proud to include Lewa Safari Camp within its collection of Kenya’s most elegant and renowned safari camps & lodges – the Cheli & Peacock Portfolio (www.chelipeacock.com).
