Safarilink
Safarilink is an established airline with an experienced management team, specifically providing air services for the tourist visitor to Kenya. From Wilson Airport, Nairobi, Safarilink provides a network of inter connecting scheduled services to the main 'safari' tourist destinations of Amboseli, Tsavo, Chyulus, Naivasha, Nanyuki, Lewa Downs, Samburu, Masai Mara, Lamu, Kiwayu, Diani and Kilimanjaro. If schedule timings are not convenient, Safarilink can provide charter flights to suit our clients needs throughout Kenya and East Africa.
As part of its ongoing corporate social responsibility programme, Safarilink donates $5 for each passenger into or out of Lewa to the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy, which in turn protects the wildlife and habitat with the support of community conservation and development programmes in the value of wildlife. So every time you fly Safarilink, you are making a contribution to the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy!
Another initiative Safarilink is involved in includes an indigenous tree planting exercise on the foothills of Mt. Kenya National Reserve in conjunction with the Bill Woodley Mt. Kenya Trust. The project is aimed to offset the carbon emissions from our aircraft and hence minimize our operational impact on the environment. Apart from making Safarilink the only carbon neutral airline in Kenya, the project will help re-forestation of the Mt. Kenya region, which is a vital water catchment area.
In August 2009, Safarilink started scheduled flights into Diani on Kenya’s South Coast. As part of our on- going support of conservation projects in areas where we operate, Safarilink has partnered with the Diani beach based Colobus Trust, by donating a fee of each passenger ticket we sell on our Diani service. Safarilink has also donated a ‘tuk-tuk’ vehicle to collect tourists from their hotels to take them to the Colobus Trust to learn about the coastal ecosystem and the work of the Trust.
