Lewa combines research, cutting edge technology, and community engagement to protect and manage the Critically Endangered black rhino, white rhino and many other endangered species. Lewa’s Rhino Conservation Program has been extremely successful and the Conservancy is now home to flourishing populations of both white and black rhinos.
We currently have 291 rhinos, representing ~13% of Kenya’s total rhino population. You can support the important research, conservation, and protection of Lewa’s flagship species by naming a rhino.
With a monthly gift of $25, you can contribute to the daily protection of rhinos. You’ll receive exclusive updates throughout year about the lives, struggles, and triumphs of the very animals your support is safeguarding.
🦏 Name a Rhino:
With a one-time gift of $15,000 USD (£11,500) and an annual commitment of $2,500 USD (£1,900) for the ongoing care and protection of your rhino, you will be able to pick a name that goes into the official database of the Kenya Wildlife Service. The rhino will go by that name for the rest of it’s life, which is about 40-50 years! You will also receive a certificate, photos and an annual update on your rhino for five years.
